Artist statement
I'm Fay, Utrecht's drummer-songwriter, and I dive headfirst into a world of unapologetically dark music. I merge avant-garde with cutting-edge electronics, allowing my band to effortlessly float over genres. With brutally honest lyrics in hand, I elevate lo-fi bedroom recordings to pop production standards. My sole aim? Delivering performances that strip emotions bare to their essence.
Ambitions
My ambition is to seamlessly integrate interdisciplinary elements into my performances. I aim to combine the essence of my music, blending electronic tradition with avant-garde, while enhancing audience engagement through captivating light shows.
Learned during the studies
Throughout my studies, I discovered the significance of freedom and improvisation. Interacting with individuals from diverse musical backgrounds exposed me to a multitude of styles, ultimately guiding me to forge my own unique path. School provided the platform for me to gain skills in collaboration, improvisation, and live communication with fellow musicians onstage.
