What is your specialty, what makes your work unique? Or place your artist's statement.
Beauty and aesthetics have always been part of my life. Ever since I was a young girl, I was around the most beautiful architectures and designs. I grew up visiting the most exotic places around the world and with time it personalized my taste.
I've seen the culture of Morocco and their love for the natural colours and materials of the landscapes. Their effortless translation of natural textures into the design. It grew my interest in minimalistic designs. Clean, crisp and light environments. My taste has grown to mix contemporary and classic designs with natural materials to give a minimalistic twist to spaces. I use modern tools to bring to you easy and affordable knowledge for your homes.
What are your ambitions? What do you want to be in five years?
Within 5 years I want to have brought my interior company to the next level. Combining my love for interior and real estate and getting the most out of it. I want to give new life to properties that no one cares about anymore and ensure that they will be unique and special. Real estate value increases over the years, and a design that fits the property and the environment properly, only boosts the value even more. And I am going to be a big part of that.
What is the most important thing you have learned during your studies?
Studying at the HKU was a huge roller coaster for me. It has so much to offer, therefore it really takes a while to find out what you really like. The advantage of this is that as soon as you figure out what you like, you are really 100% sure. Decisiveness and curiosity are the two main subjects I grew in the most for the last couple of years. Studying at the HKU is really a self-study course. All possibilities are there, but you have to use them. Nothing is handed over.
