Based on the research method of ‘’Compositions’’ in the research,
this artistic work takes a literal approach in the framing of
artistic/aesthetic voices within the space of exposure. Using only two
materials - spruce wood and reused scaffolding netting, frames are
placed in the back courtyard of the school. These frames let the
spectator walk through and observe the subtle voices at play in this
solitary outside. The interplay of shadow and light, the contrast of
nature and building, abandonment and care are aspects that will be
explored through different compositions throughout time.
Thesis: Composing Spaces_
Within
the context of relationality and collaboration, artistic methods are
explored to gain further insight in the use of artistic voices (those of
people, but also materials, spaces etc.) within spatial works. In the
research you will find an analysis as well as appreciation of the
relations that happen in between the processes of the world. This leads
the research into a dramaturgical method for a practicing scenographer
who is interested in using relational aspects of design in time-based
dramaturgies.
